The Yekooche First Nation are a strong Dakelh nation whose traditional territory encompasses Stuart Lakes, Lake Babine and Cunningham Lake in Northern BC
The Yekooche elders recount how the ancient story of Nilhtsi Kani “The Power of the Wind:, brought peace to the traditional land. The elders embrace this legend to draw strength from their past and sustain the Yekooche Nation into the future.
The Yekooche First Nation’s Economic Development Corporation (KIU) has partnered with The Binche Whut’en and Ecofor Consulting to develop and grow Shas Ti Environmental LP as a premier full service, mutli nation owned consulting firm in Northern BC.
